• We’re a healthcare marketing agency that helps therapy practices, treatment centres and mental health organisations grow their business through evidence-based, ethical digital marketing.

Hi, I’m Emma Loker, a licensed therapist and former mental health writer of 5 years. During my time writing, I noticed how many companies needed writing, SEO and healthcare marketing support from someone who was also an experienced clinician.
That’s why I built PsychWrite.
We’re a team of therapists, psychologists, medical doctors and other clinical professionals who are also experienced writers, supported by SEO, Google Ads and marketing specialists.
When you work with us, you’re partnering with people who understand both mental health and what it takes to grow a mental health brand online. So, you don’t have to spend time explaining mental health to a generalist marketing team, or figure out marketing yourself. You can focus on what you do best – helping people.
If that sounds like what you’re looking for, we’d love to hear from you.

Emma Loker
CEO & Founder
Emma is a licensed child and adolescent therapist who worked in special educational needs schools and primary and secondary schools, supporting vulnerable children and adolescents.
She was a mental health writer for five years before realising she wanted to help more people than she could do on her own. So, she founded PsychWrite, which allowed her to build a team of healthcare marketing professionals who were also clinicians. Since then, she’s helped organisations like the Mental Health Foundation, Counselling Directory and many private practices grow online.
Emma also has a love of nature and reading. In her spare time, you’ll often find her in the garden, cuddling her Bengal cat, or reading a book.

Tayler Hughes
COO & CFO
Tayler is PsychWrite’s COO and CFO, managing the operational and financial side of PsychWrite. As Emma’s husband, Tayler has been behind the scenes at PsychWrite from the start, brainstorming and supporting the decision-making process.
He has a professional background in operations management, logistics and IT, and loves any process-related tasks. He’s at his best when he’s fixing technical issues and inefficiencies, ensuring the business runs smoothly.
Tayler spends his spare time woodworking, as well as playing with his and Emma’s cat, Nylah.

Jemma Strain
Head of Content
Jemma is a mental health professional with over 15 years of experience in applied and research psychology and a master's with distinction in writing.
After graduating with her BSc in psychology, she spent a year working with adults with special needs before accepting a PhD candidacy researching the link between mood and coordination disorders. Jemma worked in educational psychology for four years before turning her passion for psychology into content writing for companies worldwide. Since then, she has been an Editor-in-Chief for the Attachment Project for four years before becoming Head of Content for PsychWrite, where she has written and edited courses for organisations like Positive Psychology, developmentally edited nationwide reports for the Mental Health Foundation, and enjoys managing a team of dedicated writers across a variety of content formats.
When not writing mental health content, Jemma likes to turn her psychological awareness into creative writing. She is also an avid film, book, and interior design devotee – when her time isn’t dominated by her British Shorthair cat, Niles.

Mike
Editor and Former Content Writer for UKAT
Michael is an experienced editor and writer in the addiction and mental health fields. He worked in education across Asia for ten years, where he encountered many students with undiagnosed educational and behavioural difficulties.
This saw him move into behavioural and mental health writing, with a particular focus on dual diagnoses. He has overseen the content strategy and production for some of Britain’s biggest addiction and mental health treatment organisations. He joined the Psychwriterite editing team in 2025.
Michael lives in Vietnam with his wife, daughter and two cats. When he has a spare moment, he likes reading Russian literature and practising Muay Thai.

Hayley
Editor and Humanistic Counsellor
Hayley is a qualified therapist and wellbeing coach who has worked in charities, higher education, and private practice, supporting adults with their mental health and wellbeing.
Before moving into writing, she spent many years working as a clinical scientist. She later realised she wanted to reach more people than she could through one-to-one work alone, leading her to become a mental health author before joining PsychWrite as a writer and editor.
Hayley also has a love of nature and creative hobbies. In her spare time, you’ll often find her gardening, crocheting a blanket, or building Lego.
We help mental health brands – including therapists, charities, private practices, treatment centres, and digital healthcare organisations – grow and help more people. We do this through ethical marketing and the highest quality mental health content and copywriting.
But underneath this, we help to fight the mass of mental health misinformation circulating online. Every time we increase a client’s visibility, boost their enquiries, or help their website perform better, we’re pushing accurate, credible professionals and organisations.
All in a bid to support vulnerable people.

I worked with Emma and her team while polishing my TEDx talk. Emma introduced me to Jemma, who supported me through the process with real care and expertise. The team was knowledgeable, responsive, and genuinely supportive. Every question was answered very quickly, which was a time saver. Working with them felt easy and professional, and both Emma and Jemma met every expectation and more.Posted on Google![]()

Emma and the team at MindWrite are EXCEPTIONAL! The quality of writing is absolutely first class as they are legit experts in their fields. Not only is the quality second to none, but the communication is seamless and they just truly understand what it takes to make a top notch book- I just give them the idea and I know they are going to produce the best book in that niche, and that is incredibly valuable as you don't want to have to waste lots of precious time going back and forth making sure the writer is doing what you need. I've used their services multiple times and they are the only writers I will use moving forward.Posted on Google![]()
